Workspace

Workspace settings

Name your workspace, upload a logo, set the URL used in share links, and understand what a workspace holds.

A workspace is the container for everything you make in Reveal. It holds your guides, your checklists, your team, and one pixel. If you run two products, or you keep a staging environment separate from production, that is usually two workspaces rather than one.

Workspace settings live in Settings, then Workspace. Everything on this page is visible to your whole team, so it is worth getting the name and logo right early.

Switching workspaces

The workspace switcher sits at the top of the sidebar. It shows the workspace logo, the workspace name, and underneath it the slug and your role in that workspace, like acme · Admin. Click it to move between the workspaces you belong to.

Your role is per workspace, so you can be an Admin in one and a Member in another. The switcher is the quickest way to check which one you are looking at before you change a setting.

Workspace name

Workspace name is what your team sees in the switcher and across the app. It is described in the app as "Visible to all team members", so use the name people would recognise, usually your company or product name.

Workspace logo

Workspace logo appears next to the name in the sidebar. Click Upload logo and pick a file.

The requirement is PNG or SVG, 64×64 min. Anything smaller gets rejected, and anything much larger is scaled down, so a square image around 256×256 is a safe choice. SVG is the better option if you have one, since it stays sharp at every size.

Workspace URL

Workspace URL is the slug that follows the reveal.so/ prefix. The app describes it as "Used for share links and embed references", so it shows up anywhere a guide is pointed at from outside the dashboard.

Keep it short and recognisable. Since it appears in links you send to other people, treat it the way you would a subdomain rather than an internal code name.

Site domain

Coming soon. Site domain, described in the app as "The domain your pixel is installed on", is not editable yet. The app notes that "Our Chrome extension confirms detection automatically", so you do not need to declare the domain by hand. Once the pixel fires on your site, the extension reports it back, and the Embed tab on any guide shows what was detected under DOMAINS DETECTED.

In the meantime, the place to control where a guide is allowed to run is the Domains card on the guide's Embed tab.

Saving

None of these fields save as you type. Make your changes, then click Save changes at the bottom of the page.

Note. Changing the workspace name or logo takes effect for everyone on the team, not just you. Changing the workspace URL changes the share links built from it, so anything you have already sent out with the old slug is worth re-checking.
