What Reveal is

Reveal turns a screen recording of you into in-product onboarding your users can actually follow.

Most SaaS onboarding is text in a tooltip. It works, in the sense that it technically explains the button. It just doesn't feel like anyone is there.

Reveal is personal video onboarding. You record yourself once, walking through your own product, and Reveal pins that recording inside the product as a series of steps. Your face shows up in a small circular video next to each tooltip, and it follows the user from one step to the next. New users get something close to a one-on-one demo, and you only record it once.

What you get out of it

People finish onboarding. A recorded person explaining a screen holds attention better than a paragraph of copy on the same screen.

You find out where they quit. Every step reports whether users reached it. When 40% of your users stop at step three, you see step three go red and you know what to fix.

You hear what they thought. After a guide ends you can ask for a one tap reaction and an optional comment. Completion tells you they finished. Feedback tells you whether it helped.

The two halves of Reveal

Reveal is two surfaces that do different jobs.

Reveal for Chrome is where you record. You open your product in Chrome, press record, and talk through it. Recording, re-recording, and editing steps all happen here.

The dashboard at app.reveal.software is where you manage what you recorded. Publishing, grouping guides into checklists, deciding when a guide fires, and reading analytics all happen here.

The split is deliberate. You author where the product actually is, and you manage everything from one place.

Who this is for

Founders and product teams recording the guides, developers installing the pixel, and admins running the workspace. The docs are grouped that way, so skip to whichever part is yours.
