Workspace

Danger zone

Transfer a workspace, export everything as CSV, delete all guides, or delete the workspace itself.

The Danger zone sits at the bottom of the settings nav, separated from everything else. It holds four actions that change or remove things at the workspace level, and three of them cannot be taken back.

Only an Admin can use these. Read what each one does before you click, since the confirmation is the last chance you get.

Export all data

Export all data downloads all guides, analytics, and feedback as CSV. Click Export and you get your workspace's content in a form you can open in a spreadsheet or load into a warehouse.

This is the one people in this section actually use day to day. It costs you nothing, it changes nothing, and it is the only action here that is safe to run whenever you feel like it.

Tip. Run Export all data before any big cleanup: before deleting guides, before transferring the workspace, before a round of archiving. If it turns out you needed a number from a guide you removed, the CSV is where you will find it.

It is also a reasonable habit on its own schedule, quarterly say, so you have a record of how your onboarding performed over time rather than only what the dashboard currently shows.

Transfer workspace

Transfer workspace assigns ownership to another Admin member. Click Transfer and pick who takes it over.

The person you transfer to has to already be an Admin in this workspace, so invite them and set their role first if they are not. See Team and roles.

Heads up. Transferring hands the workspace to someone else. Be sure the person you pick is the one who should be responsible for the workspace and its billing, and tell them before you do it rather than after.

Delete all guides

Delete all guides permanently deletes every guide in this workspace. The button is Delete all guides.

This removes the recordings, the steps, and the analytics attached to them. Published guides stop appearing on your site, so any guide that was firing for your users stops firing. The workspace itself, your team, and your pixel stay in place.

Heads up. This deletes every guide, not the ones you have selected. There is no per guide filter on this action. If you only want to clear out a handful, archive or delete them individually from the Guides page instead. Run Export all data first.

Delete this workspace

Delete this workspace is the last item. The app is explicit about what it does: "Everything will be permanently deleted. There is no undo." The button is Delete workspace.

That is the guides, the checklists, the analytics, the feedback, the team list, and the pixel key for this workspace. Anything embedded on your site that points at this workspace stops working, including dynamic links and Reveal buttons you have pasted into your product or your emails.

Heads up. Deleting a workspace cannot be undone. If you are handing the product to someone else rather than shutting it down, use Transfer workspace. If you just want to start over with the content, use Delete all guides and keep the workspace, the team and the pixel. Export first either way.
